COW-CALF SIMULATOR

A tool designed to help livestock producers understand how zootechnical indicators affect stabilized herd systems in beef cattle production. It allows users to calculate production results, simulate financial scenarios, and set specific targets.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

1. Productivity Simulation

​

  • Allows users to enter production system data, such as weaning rate, mortality rate, stocking rate, and other key indicators.

  • Calculates productivity (kg of live weight per hectare) and herd turnover rate.

  • Instantly generates performance indicators for the current scenario.

2. Cow-Calf Performance Indicators

​

Evaluates the production system using four key indicators:

  • Production Per Cow (Kg/Cow)

  • Cow Efficiency (Kg/100 Kg)

  • Cow-Calf Biological Efficiency (%)

  • Productivity (Kg/Ha)

3. Investment Limit Simulation

​

  • Compares the current scenario with a desired future scenario.

  • Estimates the maximum feasible investment required to intensify production.

  • Defines production and financial targets based on the farm’s productive capacity.

4. Sensitivity Simulation

​​

  • Analyzes the individual impact of each zootechnical variable, such as calving rate and stocking rate, on the results, identifying which adjustments can generate the greatest return.

  • Supports both simple analyses, involving a single variable, and more complex analyses involving interactions between variables.

5. Goal Simulation

​

​Answers practical questions such as:

  • How much land is required for X cows? What is the ideal herd size for the farm’s carrying capacity?

  • Supports medium- and long-term strategic planning.

6. Simulation Table Generation

​

  • Automatically creates comparative tables relating productivity (kg/ha), herd turnover rate, calving rate, and stocking rate.
